Ikoyi Club Donates One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira to Miss Esther Ajibona – a 3 year old child with a heart defect.
Ikoyi Club 1938 made a charity donation of one million five hundred thousand naira (N1.5M) to Miss Esther Ajibona, a three year old child suffering a heart defect. Esther was born healthy on the 31st of July 2018, until she had a seizure and was rushed to the hospital where she was placed on a medication for 12months, at age 2. She was later diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (a heart defect). A sum of ₦5.6M is required for her treatment (rehabilitation inclusive) at Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ogun state. The cheque of N1.5M was presented by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. Ademola Mumuney (in the company of Mr Rufai Tokunbo; Chairman of Aerobics & Other Sports Section and Mr. Babatunde Orungbeja; GM/CEO of the Club) to the parents of Miss Esther Ajibona in his office on the 12th of January, 2022. The parents of Miss Esther, Mr & Mrs Ajibona, expressed their gratitude to Ikoyi Club for the generous donation and prayed for more blessings on the Club.
