IKOYI CLUB 1938 WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS IN GRAND STYLE
Yesterday, Ikoyi Club 1938 hosted its highly anticipated New Members' Night, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the esteemed club. The event was a resounding success, with the club's leadership and members coming together to extend a warm welcome to the new intending members.
Mr. Tafa Zibiri-Aliu, the Club Chairman, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, wishing the new members a prosperous 2025. He then introduced the executive members, including Vice Chairman Mr. Ladipo Rufai, Honorary Secretary Mr. Leo-Olagbaiye, Honorary Treasurer Mr. Olalere Babasola, Trustees, led by Mr. Alaba Okupe, Squash Chairman Mr. Akinsope Roberts, and other key officials.
The Chairman also took the opportunity to introduce past leaders, including Past Chairman Mr. Mumuni, Past Secretary, and Past Treasurer, highlighting the club's rich history and tradition of excellence.
The importance of the club's rule book was emphasized to the intending members, who were encouraged to familiarize themselves with the guidelines that govern the club's activities.
As is customary, the Chairman conducted a roll call of junior members who have progressed to ordinary membership, as well as members who have attained life membership status. The evening also featured random recognition of members, adding a touch of excitement and camaraderie to the proceedings.
