2nd International Inter-Club Badminton Tournament
The Section hosted the 2nd International Inter-Club Badminton Tournament. It involved eleven (11) clubs drawn from Ghana and Nigeria. The event was for two days from 28th to 29th April 2017. The tournament was won by City Gate Club of Abuja, which won two gold and two silver medals, the second position went to the Nigeria Police Force, Ikeja, which went with one gold and two silver medals, and Ikoyi Club 1938 came third with one gold medal. The grand finale was witnessed by the Executive Governor of Lagos State Mr Akinwunmi Ambode who was ably represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Energy, Mr Olawale Oluwo and the Chairman of the Club, Mr. Babatunde Akinleye The Chairman of the Badminton Section, Mr Sunday Wusu remarked that the tournament has come to stay and promised that next year will be bigger and better.
