The Lagos State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, will deliver the keynote address at a symposium marking the 86th Anniversary of Ikoyi Club 1938. The event is set to take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Ikoyi Club main lawn. This symposium is one of many events planned to celebrate the club’s prestigious 86-year history. Dr. Hamzat will speak on this year’s theme, “Ikoyi Club 1938: Repositioning for the Modern Age.” The panelists for the event include:

• Dr. Nneka Okerearu, Director, Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University
• Coach Aderenle Onikosi, CEO, Conegelics Consulting
• Dr. Stanley Muoneke, Director, Tipping Point Consulting Ltd
• Mrs. Yvonne Ebbi, Lead Consultant, The Etiquette Place

The symposium will be moderated by Anikeade Funke Treasure. The anniversary celebration will feature a variety of events:

• Tuesday, September 24: Jazz Night at the main bar
• Wednesday, September 25: The Millennial Hangout at the Golf Banquet Hall at 6 PM
• Friday, September 27: Staff Engagement at 10 AM, Elder’s Party at the Ikoyi Club main lawn at 2 PM, and The Ladies Night at 6 PM
• Saturday, September 28: Health Walk around Ikoyi environs at 1 PM, followed by a Children’s Party at the Ikoyi Club main lawn
• Sunday, September 29: The Gala Night at the Ikoyi Club main lawn at 4 PM

The Chairman of the 86th Anniversary Committee is Mr. Rufai Ladipo, a seasoned brand communications and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience managing major brands. He is also the CEO of Agile Communications Limited.
