In a ceremony held today, February 15, 2025, at 12 noon, the Ikoyi Club 1938 reconstructed road was officially commissioned by His Excellency, Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside His Excellency, former Governor of Lagos State and Minister of Works, SAN Babatunde Raji Fashola, and the Chairman of Ikoyi Club 1938, Mr. Tafa Zibiri-Aliu.
During the ceremony, Mr. Zibiri-Aliu welcomed dignitaries, including the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Dr. Zaccheus Adedeji, Ikoyi Club Trustees and members of the General Committee.
He emphasized the project's significance, highlighting community service, collaboration, and the positive impact of collective efforts towards greater goals.
The Chairman expressed his profound appreciation to Dr. Adedeji for the Federal Inland Revenue Service's commitment to corporate social responsibility, which enabled the road project to be undertaken on a pro-bono basis.
He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of Mr. Fashola, who facilitated the project, and Governor Sanwo-Olu, whose vision and commitment to infrastructure development have transformed Lagos State into a hub of progress and innovation.
