The Swimming Section is a cornerstone of the Ikoyi Club, welcoming families and fostering a love for the sport. Founded in 1938, it's the largest section by membership and second in income, and is known for its relaxed ambiance and family-friendly atmosphere.
The Section as a pioneer has maintained its leadership role in the Club by providing excellent Swimming facilities and relaxed ambient environs for the conviviality of its members.
The Section has a resident head coach and two assistant coaches. It also has 7 freelance coaches and 3 junior freelance coaches.

Guiding our team to success is the dedicated Technical Subcommittee, comprising five experienced members. The section also has a team of five skilled coaches that facilitate top-notch training and mentorship, equipping our swimmers to reach their full potential.
Safety is our priority, and we are proud to have over 10 vigilant lifeguards ensuring a secure swimming environment for all.
